People complaining about Mr. X are stupid, he's barely a threat and he's barely even in the game
I finished the game on hardcore for leon and claire, and in both scenarios he's barely even in the game and he's almost no threat at all so long as you know the map layout. even if you don't he's massively hobbled by flashbangs and you can scoot right by him

Agreed. While I know he was in the original, he really is nothing more than an inconvenience. Dude shows up, guess I need to run a couple rooms ahead or hit a safe room. It doesn't really build tension for me, just more of an annoyance

why does this need to be said? every tyrant is a hulking rart who is only a threat if you arent sure what youre doing. The only game the tyrant is a threat in is ORC.

Also if you walk, not run, he will almost never find you.
he honestly makes the game tbh. the police station would have been a boring cake walk without haveing to worry about sneaking around or mr.x giving you the suckerpunch of a life time immediately after you walk through a door.

i figured this out in my second run XD ♥♥♥♥ helps so much. he could be 2 feet away from you but not hear you if you walk same with lickers! lickers are blind so just walk around them and you will be fine

I can't answer on the behalf of others. But I HATE Mr.X. Not because he is "hard" but because he is annoying as hell, and he really doesn't seem to fit any great purpose other that being a time waste for the player because you have to hide/run from him.

I must admit I was a bit shocked to see him when I did but as soon as you work out he's REALLY slow and the only way he's going to trouble you is if he corners you the he becomes little more than a mild annoyance (especially once you realise he can't enter certain rooms) I did shoot his hat off though lol.

I am not quite sure what it is you are trying to say?
But I played RE since RE1 was released. I am simply saying that I personally don't like this version of Mr.X. In the old RE games you always had a choice. Kill for some bonus stuff, or Evade to save ammo "and health" In the RE2Remake we only have one choice, Run and hide, and keep doing that. It doesn't add anything to the game. But like I said, thats just how I see it.

Don't mess with that chap's hat.

He's so easy to dodge/get away from. For real terror they should have allowed him to enter safe rooms etc.

I like him. I just think fighting him should be more worthwhile then it currently is.
Its a HUUUGE useless waste to shoot him... It should be more of a tradeoff imo.

Ya know, like nemesis was in re3... You could get some cool guns for "killing" him every time.

I think he's more there to get players to realize that you don't have to run everywhere. I noticed zombies also won't aggro, unless they see/hear you. You can walk up to a zombie and then just run to get past them. They react slow enough that you'll be out of grip range before they get ya.

Since Mr. X won't follow you into rooms where you have no escape or room to maneuver around him. He's not there to be cheap, he's there to get ya moving, scare ya, and teach ya how to prioritize objectives. Didn't prep the Library? Well now ya gotta loop the Tyrant, bet ya won't do that again.

How cool would it have been if once you solved the Clock Tower puzzle he came through the door, no room to escape or place to run, hope you saved some ammo.
