Disable Assist Mode Request Pop Up Option?
Sherry troubles caused me to get a pop up asking if I wanna switch difficulties, noticed how easy it is to just accept assist mode by mistake. I don't want it. I don't want this pop up. There a way to disable the pop up so I never hear of assist mode again?

I am regretting this. I accidentally clicked on assisted mode during the 2nd Birkin boss fight, and finding the game super easy now. Not to mention, I am too far into the game now to start a new game :( my ammo has been hoarded a lot since it switched to assisted mode. Missing the challenge.
Agreed it is far too easy to accidently select Yes

I played on normal, and yeah It popped up all the time it was super annoying especially on some bossfight I died on like 10 times as claire. Definitely wish it could be disabled in settings.

Yes. Especially in the heat of the moment when I continously died during the boss fight. It was a mix of adrenaline. The game is super easy to the point that it feels like a different game now, I don't feel threatened or scared.

This really annoyed me since i had completed the Leon campaign on normal and then while playing the Claire campaign i died to a zombie by mistake and then when i was on the death screen because i was mashing X on my controller i pressed through the assist mode screen which then turned the assist mode on for me, i wish devs didn't have this option in their games, people should play on easy if they cant handle normal difficulty and the game is not supposed to be played with aim assist in mind anyway, i hope the devs learn from this.

I think an easy solution would be to implement a system where the game gives you an item that changes to assist mode, which you have to go out of your way to pick up and/or use. It worked for I Am Bread.

Agree 100%. Re 7+8 had the right call: offer it once (not sure if it was per playthrogh or per fight/section) and after that, put an additional option to the respawn menu but not select it by default. If someone changes their mind, they can still accept, but there is no risk of acidentally enabling it.
