Resident Evil 2 Remake has 4 Campaigns?! Are your serious?
Hi Everyone,

i just read on newsweek, that RE 2 has 4 Campaigns?! Are your serious?
https://www.newsweek.com/resident-evil-2-leon-vs-claire-differences-campaign-which-do-first-remake-1304708

is that true that i have to play 4 times the campaigns to beat the game?!
According to newsweek, i have to play first the Leon Campaign, then the Claire Campaign, then the Leon Campaign for a 2nd Time and then the Claire Campaigne a 2nd Time?!?

Come on Guys, it is already a Nightmare beating the Game once, but going through it 4 Times, just sick imho

It's one main campaign then the 2nd with the other character is the same basic campaign but with some differences. To get the story you need to play twice and alternating characters.

Playing it two more times is playing what you already played with very minor differences.

Alright, just to be clear, is it enough to play one time with Leon and one time with Claire?
is the Claire Campaign, different friom the Leon Campaign? or are they the same, just different characters? Thanks for the clarification

This was how the original game was too..What's the problem?

In the original game, each of the four scenarios was unique. In this game, the story is the same for both characters regardless, you only need to play through twice to get the whole story, just make sure your second playthrough is the unlocked '2nd' scenario.

There are still four scenarios, but the differences are almost purely gameplay related.

i never played the original game

I'd say it was really two since ones B follows the others A, just depends on which one you start with first

Leon A / Claire B
Claire A / Leon B

I'm no pro in this game but i think it's like this:

1. you select your character for the 1st playthrough (A)
2. after you beat the game 1st time, you select the second character for 2nd playthrough (B)

And you get the whole story.

After that you can replay the game again with some gameplay changes (not really sure what's that about).

Also it will unlock a new playable character (Hunk and Tofu).

it's really easy my friend.
The story is 1, but with 2 different point of views, Leon and Claire.

You choose and start the game.

Once you have finished, after the end, wait the credits roll and you will see there is another cutscene...but the game end.

If you wanna continue to see the "true" end you need to play with the other charachter, you will see another story ( but most of the game is the same, both character have unique location, npc, weapons and the final boss )

sorry for my english

It's simple, play and finish the game a total of 4 times.
Two times with Claire and Two times Leon alternating with whatever character you start with.

For example, if you start the game with Claire, you finish it with her, then start and finish the next part with Leon..That would be finishing the game two times

For the 3rd and fourth time you would start the game again using Leon first, and finish it with him then start and finish the final time using Claire.

You can start the first time with either character just be sure to alternate characters and use whatever character you didnt use on the first time, on the 3rd time.

So here it is play teh game 4 times:
Leon for the 1st time
Claire for the 2nd time
Claire for the 3rd time
Leon for the 4th time

OR

Claire for the 1st time
Leon for the 2nd time
Leon for the 3rd time
Claire for the 4th time

That's as simple as I can make the explanation.

thank you all guys, i will do exactly as RE 2 Player suggested, i will play it through 4 Times

[Sgt] M. Zloba [1stAL] said, that it will unlock 2 new characters, does this mean, if i play with the new characters, the story will be the same as Leon & Claire?!

After playing A+B scenarios, you will unlock a game mode where you play as Hunk. In this mode you have limited time to escape the Police Department so it's just an addition to the game (not like a whole new campaign). After you beat it you will unlock Tofu mode.

Read more about that here:
