How to unlock Infinite Minigun

So I just cleared my first hardcore run with leon I got the rocket launcher and the smg but no minigun.Do I get the minigun when I clear it using Claire?Also will using infinite weapons lower my rank? I think I remember it doing that on the original but I'm not sure.

Yes finish as claire. You cannot use infinite weapons except the knife or you will not get s+

You need to end the game on hardcore with these times for an S+ rank:
Claire/Leon 1st part: 2:30 hr
Claire/Leon 2nd part: 2:00 hr
You cannot use infinity weapons, except for the Infinity Knife.
You can use health sprays without penalty
If you manage to do it with Claire, you unlock the minigun}
if you manage to do it with Leon, you unlock the rocket launcher
Also, doing it Hardcore S will unlock their original costumes!

Hardcore, first run under 2:30hrs, 2nd run under 2hrs, and no more than 3 saves. infinite knife is allowed but weapons are not

Are you 100% sure? This website says if you get a S+ rank on standard, you unlock the Rocket Launcher.

Yes, but can you get the AT4 at standard??? Some websites state you can, others say hardcore. Has anybody on here got a S+ rank on standard and unlocked the launcher?

You need to be on hardcore to Unlock the Rocket Launcher and Minigun. They cannot be unlocked on standard.

I got S rank in standard. No special weapons but the infinity Samurai Edge.
I unlocked the Rocket Launcher, Minigun and the LE5 after achieved S+ on Hardcore with each character. You must have read a troll...

I can give you these tips that helped me a lot to achieve the S+ rank on Hardcore:
With Claire, first save must be done BEFORE getting into the sewers (because the part to reach the Queen and King plugs is really random and I always die or get brutally damaged thanks to the G virus monsters)
Second Save: at the Labs, before getting the last chip to access the west part of the lab.
Third Save: Before the run to reach the train or before fighting G monster phase 3.

Try to save, at least, 4 G+R+B herbs for the last two bosses.
Always play Leon/Claire first run (you have 30 more minutes!)
Use the infinity Knife, specially against kneecapped zombies or Bosses! This thing saves a lot of ammo!
Oh, and the best tip: get your fps above 60, because at 144 fps the knife does A LOT OF DAMAGE!

thanks for the tips kinda odd various wiki's don't mention it has to be on hardcore mode though one thing i don't understand is why using the unbreakable knife wouldn't count against you but the other infinite unlocks would (imma do some testing to confirm if that's right or not (who knows this might end up just being an accidental self imposed challenge which makes the feat all the more impressive honestly but imma do everything in my power (short of cheating with a trainer) to make it easier if at all possible))
