is RE2 Remake now the best RE game?

To me personality yes it is my fav RE game, used to be RE2 original, now RE2 remake.
As for others i would put either RE7 or RE3.

so my list is:

1. RE2 remaster
2/3. RE7/RE3

Best game I've ever played IMO! I know the original game inside and out,but I was still amazed by the story,I cried at the sad parts, and genuinely enjoyed every single moment. Ive played every single Resident evil title,except 7 and the survivor games. This one is my favorite and Im genuinely sad that I've finished it.

I reccommend checking out RE7. modern graphics and similar mechanics to RE original series. check the reviews

This is same as me but id put 7 last and new re2 first, i found it god awful and hope re8 doesn't require me to know the story of 7 in any way

Resident Evil 2 (Remake) is the best RE game I've played. I rank my RE games like this...

#1: RE 2
#2: RE 7
#3: RE 4

Also consider I've played Resident 1/5/6/ as well... the rest of the RE games just don't hold up as well for me personally.

All of them are perfectly playable today, and better than the new ones in many ways. A well designed game will always be great regardless of what year it is.

I grew up in the 90's, everyone played the re2 everyone liked it, i don’t think there was a single person who not played this game, it was the most talked game of that time, to basically i grew up playing this game and it was my 2 favourite game ever. However now that RE2 remake came out it took re2 place.
I don’t understand why u still prefer the original re2, RE2 remake has better graphics, mechanics, its in third person, better content, customisable items, improved character abilities, SAME MUSIC AS RE2 ORIGINAL!!

So overall its a 25 times better game, why do u still prefer the original?

The original still has more content and the storyline is better because the B scenarios actually had effort put into them and make sense. That's half of the games content. So that's a pretty big reason I think.

Well I think it's a pretty objective fact that the B scenarios in the original offer way more meaningful content than the 2nd runs do here, plus the original had Extreme Battle mode. I won't try to change your mind about the game but you can't really deny that the remake is missing this stuff.

4 is still my favorite though, mainly because i played it on the wii back than.. The chainsaw guys are a nightmare with no ammo, especially when 2 of them come at ya.
