A cheat engine script to manually control flashlight

I tested it on CE 6.8.2 and across multiple game reboots and save files so the pointers an ASM code should be relatively solid but i can't guarantee anything without outside testers.


You obviously need to have at least basic knowledge on how to use CE, hotkey and the debug sound can be edited by right clicking the script entry in table and using Set/change hotkeys option.


Default hotkey is F and pressing it for the first time during game session also disables automatic flashlight behavior (it won't be automatically pulled out or hidden depending on room). To restore default behavior the game has to be restarted without cheat engine.

I don't think you'll get in trouble for cheating in a single player game, worst thing you won't be getting achievements

No and no.
In general i don't think there's even one singleplayer game on Steam which has cheat protection.

This is amazing, pretty much my only big gripe about the game, with the ares that the game thinks are bright because there's a lightbulb somewhere in the room but still can't see anything.

I can honestly tell you from using that stuff to do Challenge runs ( before that was a thing in the game itself ) for Binding of Isaac. You wont get banned in singleplayer games on steam for using said stuff.

I think as long as you are not using cheats in a multiplayer game and possibly ruin other people's experience people wont care for the most part. At least I do not.. Esp considering the only one being effected is the one person playing.

OP. Really cool that you did this. Not sure if I will use it till after I am fully though the game a few times. ( Unless the flashlight thing annoys me enough in the game that is. I doubt it will though. )

Think I would have to change one of my binds.. Think I have grenade or something attached to the F key.. ( I know its use by def but I prefer that to be E in most games and switched the original bind with that. )
