Who should I start my first runthrough with?

For the record, I prefer Leon as a character, and don't really care too much for Claire, so the idea of experiencing the game for the first time with Leon sounds more appealing to me.

On the other hand, the idea of getting the true ending with Leon on the second run sounds nice too.

Any tips?

Wait really?? So I can do the following order:

Leon A
Leon B
Claire A
Claire B

Because that would be the ideal way I want to experience it.

No, you can't. If you start with Leon, you'll unlock Claire B. However, unlike the original, if you finish Claire B you can then just do Leon B without having to do Claire A.

As a fan of Leon in the original I think you'll much like Claire in this one. She can be a little cringe but by and large she's a better character this go around.
