Capcom has successfully destroyed this game with a 5$ DLC...

By adding the 5$ unlock everything crap, everything that Capcom built with this game was completely destroyed. Now even the biggest nobs on the planet can finish this game without any effort, but I guess this is the outcome when a franchise is infested with Call of Duty players. I don't see how anyone with common sense can defend this abysmal practice, no other Resident Evil game before had this stuff. No wonder Sekiro won GOTY, at least it's a challenging game that requires skill.

wow they successfully destroyed their own game... no the game stays the same until press the purchase button, and anyone who actually does purchase it obviously don't feel like it destroyed the game... because they wanted to have it... so they got what they wanted... everyone gets to stay happy... yay

So when I originally bought this game 20 years ago Capcon sold a special edition memory card that had all of this and more on it. Hunk, Tofu, the weapons, alternate costumes (I think), and something else. That was $30 on top of the price of the game. Capcom didn't do anything new with this except lower the price.

how is it your business how some unskilled player plays a game? I dislike microtransactions but people keep buying COD, Fallout, anything EA, Activision, Bethesda, Blizzard, Rockstar... list goes on. a 5 dollar unlock everything isnt bad but people supporting lootboxes year after year is whats killed the industry.

The Fact people can easily add those weapons in for free with a mod. Why pay 5 bucks when you can get it for free.

NOOB CT/unlockeverything & save transfer these have been part of games forever but the industry moved away from it, still gamers everywhere do this for many reasons. HELL I did this on RE4 PS2 becuase I didn't feel like grinding Mercs again since I already beat it on Gamecube & I solely bought the Ps2 version for literally the one beamgun. So what do you do, Hey friend oh you have RE4 on Ps2 aswell cool can I get a save transfered to my memory card thx your a life saver I can't move over my Gamecube files.

Only problem i have with this its paid DLC. If this was free in game cheat etc. Its totally fine. I´m currently trying to unlock +S rank with hardcore. But i sense i wont be unlocking it with these rules as whole limited saves and speedrun thing is most typical enjoyment killer.

Also i do not get whole elitist view game is ruined because someone likes play same game different way. it´s like world of warcraft raid dungeon players is angry at people who rather social more in game. Whole issues is emotional elitism toward people who does not like way how game rewards are gained. I get speed rushers are whole improving them selfs but issue with current unlock system is that it´s not enjoyable/doable when game is otherwise fantastic.

I perhaps buy this dlc on sale if this task is not for me. I personally had many game´s where i would want to unlock these super stuffs in game. But When its always timegate + Limited saves. I typically don´t have endurance or time waste time unlocking these task rewards. I skipped dead spaces super infinite ammo gun simply because limited saves were to much to do because real life and own limitions.

But whole discussion about this dlc should be directed more about selling solution part of issue. You know!? Create issue and sell the fix for it. Like many modern cancer gaming company tactics. Only benefit what i can see from this dlc that it gives ability to keep them forever with game. I mean if you lose all saves and you want to use these stuff with out same grind from start.

At first I also thought that this time limitation is too strict and that it is impossible to beat and I was very frustrated, I then watched a speedrunner on youtube numerous times and learned a lot from him and tried to do the same and fairly soon I had my s+ ranks on both characters.

It´s absolutely doable and you can even kill all the zombies as well as loot all the stuff and still beat it.

Don´t give up. With every run you get better and eventually you will beat it.

If this quote was for me. I mean by this part that if person is disabled etc who cannot do it because of it. For me whole self improvement is not something everyone gets enjoyment from "Speaking about speedrun like elements. I do playe dark souls and my next game is code vein". It´s like some people get happiness from sports while some people wont. Sadly i´m not huge fan of speedrun and hardcore difficulty is not that hard. Whole limited saves is the thing what ruins my play because i´m short burst player. Who gets to play limited time in day where 3 saves wont help if i need to stop.

Does it really affect *your* gameplay if someone only plays once a week compared to someone who plays it everyday? Whether they've unlocked the bonuses 'legitimately' or not? Really?!

True. Question should be why did capcom sell this solution than using old school cheats to get them. Like old days where you could use in game cheat get this item etc. Not like currently pay to unlock. Thought i do like some aspect of this if you unlocked this with out paying it would stay as free dlc... Like dead by daylight did it. Still old save file corruption on lost save in mgs series still annoys a lot where you lose unlockables.
