My guess would be Wesker but I'm probably wrong. Both Wesker and Hunk were in the same place without ever being seen together. Regular human just survives a week in T/G virus infected sewers? Find that hard to believe.

Hunk is some random guy.
He was theorized to have been a clone of Wesker though and the whole theory actually makes a lot of sense and is in a way hinted at.

Hunk is not some nobody.

He's a leader of the USS Alpha Team, and USS is Umbrella's private black ops for situations like this one. He's trained for fighting with B.O.W., so him surviving for so long is not something special really.

yeah ive read up on the lore im just thinking theres no way hes just some badass human, i think theres some genetic manipulation there. Like i said im probably wrong, but being the enigma he is i wouldnt be surprised by that plot twist

He's a random high end mercenary famous for never dying, but also having his entire team die around him, etc. He appeared first in the original RE2 as part of a secret game mode, and sort of became legend from that.

He reappears in writing in Code Veronica X, and sort of carried on from there randomly appearing as a bonus character, such as in RE4, Revelations 1 and 2, and Operation Raccoon City, etc.

He has no story, he's simply Codename: HUNK. The Grim Reaper. Mr. Death.

He was kicking asss before Leon had even decided he was a cop. Even RE4 Leon would be no match for him, either, I'd say.

If you consider Gun Survivor 1 canon, Umbrella has a whole division of weird human shaped things dressed in black scuba combat gear and armed with machine guns that dissolve into green acid stuff when killed, and their leader looks somewhat similar to HUNK in a roundabout way.

So maybe HUNK is genetically modified or otherwise gifted, cloned or manufactured like Wesker was, only with less super virus and more experience at being a grade A badass.
