Why so many blue herbs scattered all over the police station?
There are no enemies that can poison you until you get to the sewers, yet there are plenty of blue herbs there. It's kinda weird, like they planned to have an enemy that poison you earlier(spiders?) and then took it out and left the herbs.

I was wondering the same thing. I ended up just making a bunch of b+g meds and storing them. Only used like 2-3 the whole game. :/ Im kind of upset they took out the spiders. :yun:

Because mixed(not actually Mixed as in combined) in with the other herbs in the item box, put next to each other, your item box can look all festive! It's like christmas in a box!

This. The damage resistance buff seems quite significant.

This. I didn't realize this until almost the end of the game but the damage reduction buff is actually a pretty big one, feels like at least 50%.

Yeah, I think most people don't realise it because they skip over the herb intro (Probably the same for the "red tick on no more use key items" tutorial as well.)

It's literally explained in a file early in the game. Blue Herbs are no longer only to cure poison, mixing them with Red, or Green and Red, also gives you a temporal defense boost.

I think people know, but it's not that crucial to do it since it doesn't last long enough to be of any use, especially in the police station. Hence why my box is just filled with plants.

If anything I'm worried the next virus is gonna spawn out of the item box.

Red and blue herbs mixed together can increase your defense, which is useful since zombies can put you in caution or danger in one bite.

I think red and blue only makes you immune to poison for a limited amount of time, you need green in the mix to achieve the reduce damage effect
I had no idea about the defense boost. That explains everything.

Defense boost is really huge. On hardcore difficutly, during 2nd bossfight boss would have to strike me like 3 times before I was put in danger status
