thats why you dont skip the tutorials
thats why you should read what the game shows you

on the joypad, hold L1/LB to aim, then RT/R2 to throw
but you can kill the gator just firing at the pipe

why you want grenade on sewer gator, just run left - right - left slide down shoot the yellow gas pipe job done

Well you can't be out of ammo, they give you a box of 3 .45 ammo on a B leon playthrough and there's probably pistol ammo there instead if you're doing an A run.
