I love this game, but the bosses are the worst part.
Am I the only one who hates most of the boss fights in this game? They are so frustrating to fight because it's so hard to dodge their attacks. You move too damn slow. It's almost as if you HAVE to take hits and heal through them, while shooting at them, until they die.

always been famous in resident evils, but overall generally speaking ive never been a large fan of boss battles in any game

No? Bosses move slower than you and arenas all have 1-2 routes to move in circles,
Birkin 1 is good example. You just kite him troguh J-like jungle and shoot his eye 1-2 times and than repeat,
If I used mouse I suspect bosses would lose any sense of challenge completely

Most of the bosses have predictable patterns that are easily dodgable. G-1, G-3, G-4, tyrant and super tyrant all have easily avoidable attacks. The only boss in the game which I find nearly impossible to dodge is G-2.

If you are getting hit by any of the bosses, besides G-2, it just means your spacing and timing is bad.

The most annoying Bosses were imho Birkin 1 and Mr. X on the service elevator.

On Hardcore it takes forever and a lot of 9mm ammo to take him down.
Unfortunately one can not acquire the lightning hawk before this fight. (i guess)

I wonder how it is on assisted. :)
Will check it with the no heal and no itembox run.

I just did the super tyrant fight and it's a mess imo. The lack of a dodge button really sucks in that one

Trick is to use 2 nades only when he opens his eye. Took me 30 or maybe 40 bullets to finish him after that. And I missed at least 20% of my shots. I hit body instead of an eye.

G-2 is easy if you have at least 2 Flashbang to stun him and use that massive container to knock him off, might need to do this at least 2 times

I literally spent every healing item and bullet I had accumulated through Leon's entire Lab campaign on the G-3...I thought "this is not good, but hey at least i survived!"

It's not the first time i spent what I had on a boss fight and i always got back in spades after...

but the super T comes like, right after that. And I have one single (G+B+R) herb left, and very few bullets, only Matilda bullets and some flamethrower fuel...

Second time I tried I managed to survive long enough until somebody special drops something special, and I had to run towards it, allready in a corner and before I can fire he stabs me one time which certainly kills me...

This is just too hard. I never liked these super intense boss battles, but with enough healing and ammo I can get through them...

But as I said i have very little ammo, luckily though just enough, but only one herb...that's what is killing again and again. Should I just re-load right before the G-3 and try to do that better?

But I don't wanna....

God I love this game but I also hate it. I have a complicated relationship with this series overall.

same...I really really really hate them, not my cup of tea at all, love the rest though but those boss and mini boss fights just destroy it for me -.-

I was able to do it once without using any weapons, just bated him to that side and ran like hell so I wouldn't get hit by the container too.
If you complain but keep playing it, the difficulty is right. Its like complaining about growing pains. If you complain but stop playing it, the difficulty is too much. At that point your leg got chopped off.

If you are struggling with bosses you are not familiar with their design. Its all about spacing and timing, Final form of Birkin was so hard on harcdore I had to switch to mouse and keyboard to beat it. It was similar with dark souls boss battles. You need to learn its attacks and how to counter it.

This game proves that you are not an invincible video game character.

Finaly there is bosses that hits you even if you dodge like an Lara Croft character, like Leon in RE4.

You do run slow in RE2 Remake, but if you ran faster, your gun accuracy should be terrible for a moment.

So maybe Capcom can add a update that makes us able to dodge an rare attack animation that maybe could be easily avoided in real life, and run faster in exchange for terrible gun accracy for a moment.

Yeah the hitboxes in this game are pure cheese
