How much ammo is needed to defeat first Birkin boss fight on hardcore?

I have 2 flashbangs, 1 knife, 1 grenade, 12 shotgun rounds, 24 pistol, a few gun powders. I pump everything into his head and eye, but I run out of ammo. How much more is needed?

not gonna lie it only took like 7 magnum shots to kill him when i did leon B on hardcore, also forget about his head just go for the eye

People say headshots are useless. Just keep your distance till it opens the eye.

You need to shoot his head first and than he opens an eye.

For standard you have enough, don't go for headshots, run away until he shows the big eyeball and use your pistol ammo on it. Save the shotty ammo if you can :)

nah you just have to kite him around long enough and it'll open, which is what you should do to conserve those precious bullets

all i did was just run him around till he opens it then yeet on his eye with my magnum

I run around for 5 minutes and he must have been very stubborn, his eye remained shut. Too shy to taste my matilda's kisses.

i just beat him on hardcore! had to restart bc i came to the fight with no ammo the first time lol beat him with 30 pistol eye shots and 2 nades, lefted the fight with 6 shot gun shells and 27 pistol bullets

I'm pretty stuck on it. it seems like it's just within reach since his eye goes red but i run out of ammo just before the fight finishes
