I forgot to take the bar for the jack just before the first boss fight and now i cant get get to the item because the floor was destryed during the fight
???

That's not where you get the jack handle, you get that in the ... records room I believe it's called? A room on the west side of the RPD that requires either the Heart or Club key to enter depending on who you are playing as.

Once you've finished go and play the RE1 HD REmaster.
RE2 2019 has quite a bit of handholding. The remaster of 1 also has a bit, but nowhere near as much.
If you want a challenge download the director's cut iso and play it on EPSXE.
Or buy a PlayStation and the game discs, your choice.
