Does MrX go away for a bit after the....
clock tower puzzle is finished
A yes or no answer would be great.
If not I assume it's after the electronic puzzle is done, which I assume opens every cell in the jail, so I'll be coming prepared
Already got the mag. The only thing that's irritated me thus far was a respawning licker, in the corridor by the exit to the West office.
That and getting ambushed by a zombie when I walked right through a door, though the "wtf oh shi-" reminded me of old RE2.

For the bookcases in the library I just kept making Mr X walk in a circle.

The Tyrant will return later on in the game from time to time depending on where you are in the plot.

Though once you've gotten down to the jail, gotten the keycard, and escaped? He won't be back for a while, so you'll get to enjoy some breathing room.

Hope this helps!

He doesn't go away, but he can't chase you in sewers and after, he will only re-appear in Umbrella Lab (endgame)

Thanks.
He definitely puts the pressure on.

Some sort of timed decoy (such as alarm bell control switches in rooms) would be nice though just to get him to the other end of the RPD as I've really enjoyed exploring the place. Once he appeared I went straight into rocket run mode.

He disappears from the police station after you escape the parking garage. You can't return to the station for a while after that though, but he'll be gone when you do.

He does pop back up in the sewers when your playing through the Ada section.... just be forewarned...

Inconsequentially, unless you're like me on my first playthrough and don't realize you're just flipping the thing on the door up and down over and over.....

You have other methods for decoys. The Tyrant can and will investigate everything from gunshots to grenade explosions to windows breaking/objects being moved. You can toss a stun grenade into a room then run for a few rooms and hide in a dead-end one, he'll walk right past you to go investigate the sound and that's when you can slip out undetected.

Just make sure you wait until he's in the next room to open yours and slink away, otherwise he has a chance to hear the door opening and he'll turn around and spot you.

By the way, don't open doors while sprinting, doing that slams them open and he can hear that from several rooms away, same with sprinting around, too.

He always investigate where the noises are but he doesn't go in the save point.

Inconequential or not... it does happen. And considering how stressed people are over Mr-X, I can easily see the Ada segment giving people a heart attack.

Yeah, this is also a thing. The Main Hall is no longer a safe area but certain saferooms [AKA with the save station and item box] are ones he won't venture into.

Avoid the Linen Room if possible, as despite how cramped it is, that's one he can go into, you're better off avoiding it at all costs.

Since I've already started a thread on him. Does shooting him do anything?
I just ran from him this whole time. Needed to use one R+G herb but I had also been ambushed by a zombie and a licker I was sure I had killed previously. I guess I may have reloaded and forgot about it. Though walking slowly down the corridor (the one leading to the dark room and stairs) the next time around didn't alert it.

I actually almost died to him there.... granted I almost roasted too because I'm an idiot lol.... I had 1 second left when I blew up the last box.

I had about 13 seconds left.... that definitely put me in the hotseat. =)

I did the linen room before seeing this. Luckily he was half way across the station by my estimate. Only realized it was the diamond door after he appeared. Got lucky I guess.

Unfortunately that means I got the second missing key so I'll have to go visit the weapons storage room.

One thing I'm thankful for is 5.1 surround sound. I seriously want to mount a pair of speakers on the ceiling to get 5.1.2 atmos so I can hear if he's on a floor above me.

I have some small speakers I could mount on the ceiling I guess, just need to figure out a way to mount them, there's a screw in the base so if I figure out what that fits I guess I can screw them into homemade speaker mounts screwed into the ceiling joists. Then if I get a bigger pair I can just change the mounting system.
