What's the other use(s) for the USB Dongle Key?

I have so far only completed Leon A, and just got out of the police station (for the first time) in Claire B. I carried that darn thing throughout the rest of Leon A, and could not find another use for it! Lol, does someone happen to know where the other use for it was? I can't even find it online, and it interests me quite a bit.

Pretty sure it opens the lockbox in the underground containing a sub weapon. That was the only other instance in the game where the STARs logo is mentioned. I missed it on my first run in Leon A too.

Use it as USB in STARS room armory PC, turn it back into a badge, use it in the sewers to unlock a weapons case.

If you examine it and slide the usb back in, you can put the badge in a slot, in the Sewers, and it gives you something. The thing is by a staircase, I think it's when you first defeat William, the room that has a frag on the floor.

Leon A:
1. First use - USB port in S.T.A.R.S Office

2. Second use - Remove the usb port the same way you revealed it, by hitting space, and use it on the case, which you can find after you use 3 medals, take the lift downstairs, and go to the lowest floor, the case is on the right side of prison door. You find parts for Lightning Eagle that make this weapon deal more damage, less recoil, and better aim, and it destroys bossed completely. Stock up on these high grade gun powders and get more ammo for it.
