Jump Scares?

Anyone else? They got me 5 times already. Mad credit to the designers as these were not scripted events that got me, just naturally happened in as I was playing.

Worse one I got was in the hallway by records room, 2 lickers pop out of a shadow in the corner and I fragged myself thinking I had a flashbang equipped.

I don't believe it has to be scripted to be a jump scare, but either way, I meant it in the literal sense, where you got so startled, you jumped.

Have completed the campaign and the only jump scare I had when I was walking through some RPD hallway. I was like "yay, thank god no Mr. X in sight" and then BAM! He bursted through a wall. Legit jumped there, didn't know he could do that unscripted.

its in the literal meaning of jumpscare but sure. You can be scared by anything but if it jumps out at you quickly and dosent let you move, thats a jump scare.

Licky around corner. Thought by entering a room and then entering the hallway it would be but I guess it patrols the hallway went around the corner I performed a very manly scream and fulled it with my lest 3 shotgun shells.

Worst jump scare I had is when Mr X suddently broke a wall from nowhere behind me and started chasing me.

Worse scare I had in the game was when I opened a door to get out of West Office and a licker came out of nowhere and almost made me piss my pants.

Mr. X was at the heart of 2 of my jump scares. You know the multiple levels of stairs by the safe room with the dark room in it? I was on the middle flight, because I heard him coming, but the accoustics threw me off, and I'm thinking he's coming up and I'm looking down and he's getting louder and louder and I'm like "wtf?" for some reason I never thought to look in the other direction. He was actually coming from ABOVE, and I saw his movement from the corner of the screen about .005 seconds before he punched me in the face.

I screamed.

I was not expecting the locker in the start.

When Mr.X bursts though the wall. I know he did that in the original but this game has shown that it isn't trying to re-create the original 1:1(like with the licker on the window) so I wasn't a sprepared for it as I should have been.

Leon’s reflection in the interrogation room mirror scared me a couple of times.
