On topic, though, how about ya all defenders open your eyes and check all that amount of topics about Mr.X? I counted about 3 of them on the first page only.
That indicates on the fact that mechanic doesn't quite work the way it was intended. Imo, I wasn't really scared by big guy, but I was hella annoyed by his stupidity (seriously, a zombie can crawl over a table, but huge badass boss has to walk around it?! I'm not even talking about making a comedy show by running circles around the table) and too damn well hearing, when of all sudden he made a way through whole map just to track me down. Like, seriously?!... Adding him later in game was a good idea though, as in next levels his AI issues are hidden by linear places we meet him in.
The anxiety and nervousness it causes makes it all the more savory.
Isn't there only one puzzle preventing you from triggering his exit cutscene in Leon A's campaign? Getting the clockwork cog and returning to the parking garage?
Plus there are some safe zones he can't enter.
Someone with a better understanding of memory hacking could probably isolate his ai or behavior patter to a memory address or few and work in a value that disables him.
Didn't get to see him that often either, maybe because lickers have me paranoid so I just walk everywhere. I do know he will appear near you in some cases, like getting the handle for the jack.
But i guess if I DID keep running into him often it would get annoying.
Mr. T is better. (Fool, his name is Tyrant)
I'd understand if the mechanic lasted for ages, but you can literally end his chase in like 5 minutes if you wanted to, probably less. For those that don't want to deal with the pressure of him, wouldn't it be easier for them to cheat the game by watching a walkthrough of exactly what to do when he appears to quickly deactivate him than to actually mod the game to disable him from the game, which they could have done with very little time at all?
Like were you unaware of what his next trigger is before writing this post? Because if I didn't like him the first thing I would have checked was when or how I can make him gone myself, and then if it was unreasonable ask for a mod to delete him.
It's unnecessary options, you could ask for someone to mod a singular zombie or licker encounter out of the game as well and say it's "options", but honestly his sequence is so limited if you actually check the requirements of how to deactivate him yourself.
I don’t want Mr. X in my game for the same reason I don’t want someone poking me in the face with an erect pen 15 the entire time I play. It’s annoying.........
