Can't open the first safe

I'm trying to open the safe in the West office.
The code is Left 9, Right 15, and Left 7 yet I can't seem to open it no matter how many times I try in any direction. I'm not pressing any buttons until after I put in the code. What the heck is happening.

i'm guessing maybe you're pausing during the inputs. Dont. Input all 3 of them without any pause

Maybe your interpreting them wrong? Like its telling you the number to go to not how many times you have to go in each direction. I know it sounds like dumb advice but I might as well throw it out there just in case.

Do the opposite directions for each number. You'll get it

So on your keyboard you will press RIGHT 9, LEFT 15, RIGHT 7 then click mouse and it ill open.

make a mental note of your count, or you did it wrong.

Thats what I'm doing. I even just looked it up and I am inputting it in correctly. I guess it's just a bugged game

Also, you might be on the wrong safe. There are a total of 3.

Refer to the community guide for locker/safe codes under the 'Secrets' tab on the community hub.

I have the same problem and it's definitely bugged, I tried everything and even got the Steam achievement of opening a dial safe but I can't get in, I just hope it doesn't contain something crucial :/

Fun fact: The directions don't matter. Even in RE3 they don't matter. Just turn the dial to the first number, then go the opposite direction for the 2nd number, and the other direction again for the 3rd number. If it's not working, you're probably using the combination on the wrong safe.
