Graphics memory

My card has 8 gb of memory but in graphics options in game it shows I have 4 gb and every time I set something that exceeds 4 gb it tells me that game will be bugged. Why does it show less graphics memory than I really have?

same for me , i am now having problems with direct x 12 , but i can go beyond the 4gbs it says it may be bugged but it isnt so far

What's your graphics card... If the game only reads 4GB then clearly you don't have a 8GB GPU?

What they mean, is that the frame rate might make the game process so fast that events and sequences can become bugged or out of order.

Also for me. I have 6 gb nvidea GEforce GTX 1060, but the game says I have 0.16 gb of vram.

I wonder if Nvidia is up to it's shenanigans, because it's only mostly Nvidia GPUs having issues, and only older AMD cards may have occassional stuttering due to slow memory speeds (Those on R9 Fury cards for instance may have a slower HBM).

Also for games and nvidia gpus, it seems you have to mess with the nvidia control panel settings to determine which GPU to utilize and dedicate the system to.

i have a R9 295x2 dual gpus 8gbs of ram one card . says i only have 4gb

Same here, I have 980 Ti with 6GB vram, the game shows 0GB.

Yeah it's very much likely a bug regarding driver compatability.

Nah, it's bugged for a lot of people. Displays the wrong amount. OP you can safely ignore what it says and just act as if it detects your VRAM properly. As long as you don't *actually* reach the limits of your VRAM it'll be just fine, despite what it claims.

my laptop has a 1050ti 4gb gpu but game detects only 0.13gb ram lol. its quite annoying.
