honestly, clair looks like normal clair, no idea what your on about, the clair in the game should be a bit younger looking but not like omg yes shes so hot oh god levels. just a dash more of cuteness and less laura croft looks.
basically, shes as she should be for when shes first put into the resident evil series.

except it does ruin everything umbrella is still alive and now chris is with them. Jill may or may not be dead cuz she wasnt with her partner. a virus probably made by umbrella who isnt outed as a bad guy in RE7. BSAA doesnt exist. who knows if leon and claire saved sherry. The girl you go to save that youre engaged to was immune to another strand of the virus so should essentially be able to resist this strand of virus as well cuz anyone immune do have natural resistances.

Claire is very pretty (next to Rebecca in RE Vendetta).

The real problem, and the reason why she looks so derpy ingame, is because Capcom hasn't totally nailed facial animation yet. RE7 had the same issue.
