There's no sneaking. If you're lagging on max settings, your GPU likely isn't cutting it.

BF1 and Resi 7 are both over 2 years old now. Welcome to the ever onward march of technology.

There doesn't seem to be a crouch so just walk slowly and carefully, especially around lickers.

Hello togehter, I saw in a Youtube Video from the PS4 that he can sneak very slowly without the target mode. Why isn't it possible on the PC version? He can move around lickers and open the doors also very slowley. This is much better for lickers then in the PC version. Can someone please check this? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like all he was doing was walking which can be done on PC. I usually walk by lickers without issue. I do play with an Xbox One controller on PC though.

Just don't press/hold, "SHIFT" (I'm assuming this is the run key)...? Or do if it's a toggle.

Push W and not shift at all...sounds like your making noise but monster won't hear it.

You don’t need “sneak” to get passed lickers. Just walk normally pass them, they won’t attack unless you touch them or run (accept the licker at goddess statue. It’s scripted to attack you). I get really close to lickers without getting attacked every time. Even the 2 lickers later on at the lab blocking the door can be walked by without problems. Remember, keep walking, be confident and it’ll be alright.

P/s: when you’re close to a licker, they raise their heads as if they can hear you. They can’t. It’s just to scare you into running.

Sneaking does not effect Lickers, it just makes you slower.

Keep up the good fight against the false info surrounding “slow” walking around lickers.

Change running from "toggle" to "hold" in options and use normal walking to get around lickers.

Wall and ceeling lickers are good as you can pretty much get by with no issue, ground lickers can be tricky if they decide to "check out", if they do backtrack a little, leaving/entering a room seems to somewhat reset their position.

Keep walking, ignore their issing, if you MUST run make sure it's towards a VERY close door.

As for the rest...
This game is not running on Frostbyte engine and it's pretty telling that it's geared towards next gen games, "Max" requires quite a beefy rig but trust me, the "losses" are not THAT big unless you go pixel hunting.

First you buy an entire black or grey Ninja Suit off Ebay or Amazon. (This includes Tabi Boots)
second, crouch down at night (For Black suit) fog or haze, for grey suit) and be quiet.

There...now you are sneaking.
