Resident Evil 2 uses my flight stick & gaming wheel as PS4/Xbox controller! can i disable this?

I would like to only use keyboard & mouse, is there a way too disable all connected flight stick & gaming wheel from bein automaticly used in the game. as the game for some strange reason sees both of them as an PS4/xbox controller, i cant advance any further after the cutscene from the first encounter with Marvin in the lobby as it switches over from keyboard and mouse to the controllers. The real issue here is that if i disconnect them from my PC, my other games need a new bindings again each time i unplug them.

In my case thats gonna be annoying, you see. my arma 3 seems to be losing the bindings of my controller if i plug them out!

For some games they are needed, i dont know if you meant console controllers or other kind of controllers, i need flight stick and gaming wheel in my arma 3

A flight stick and a driving wheel? I don't even know where to start with that, sorry. If it was a typical controller using xinput or steam input, there's ways to manage.

Amazingly I have the exact opposite problem. I want to use a controller (because it has been suggested that gameplay has been balanced around controller use) but the game is forcing me to use mouse and keyboard lol.

There's no option to switch anywhere.

The most annoying thing is that the game considering the joystick and gaming wheel as if it was an controller/gamepad too. every connected flightstick and gamingwheel seems to be a xbox360/ps4 controller for many RE games i own. its not just RE 2

How iwas able to use my mouse (the mouse wouldnt register for some reason) was while in game open the steam over lay go into a thread exit and it worked for some reason i could look around no problem
