Textures seem to load very slow
I'm having the issue that textures are super blurry, but load in (sharpen) when in focus. Anyone experiencing the same issue and/or knows a fix?

Just bump the texture quality as far as your VRAM amount of your card goes and see whether this will actually make the game load and store more textures.

Either slow HDD or VRAM shortage, you can try to lower texture quality setting and see whether issue still persists.

Hmm. I never had this issue. According to the game it only uses 2 GB from my 4 GB of VRAM.

As far as i can tell that VRAM estimator is bonkers, maxed out it claims to use up to 12GB on my 8GB card yet i experience no issues whatsoever.

If you want a correct readout then use RTSS/MSI AB/EVGA Precision and get a factual real time read on memory usage.

Slow streaming can be caused by either very slow HDD or VRAM shortages, forcing the game to juggle textures between VRAM, RAM and finally pagefile on HDD which is very, very slow.

i checked with msi afterburner and it actually uses 2 GB. so it's not a vram issue. and i know my hdd isn't slow at all.

never had this happen before hmm.

2GB is still a low amount these days, it might be enough to display scene but not enough to cache the surroundings hence the need for constant juggling of textures.

And what you consider a fast HDD is nowhere near being sufficient for seamlessly loading textures on the fly.

I'm not sure how the engine handles memory restrictions but if it really stays at solid 2GB then maybe allocating more for textures will make it store more of textures in VRAM hence requiring less juggling mid-game.

So you think i should increase graphic settings? it's just 2,3 GB with my current settings.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I have the same problem. Didn't seem to happen in the first 30 minutes or so but most textures were blurry and low-res after that (llike the decals on the walls such as posters)

It actually worked. everything looks crispy clean and sharp now. My gpu has 4 gb of vram and i bumped it up to about 3,8 gb in vram usage from texture quality.

I had a problem with high res textures not loading at all during my last gaming session. Everything on walls were very blurry, no matter how long I aimed and focused at them. I started to notice it after some minutes of gameplay and the problem only got fixed when I closed the game and launched it again. It's certainly some glitch that happens occasionally.
