if not im sure flawless widescreen support will be added. :) but i can pretty much 98% say it will support ultrawide out the box.
Edit: Also, Monster Hunter World don't have ultrawide support. lol.
That said there will be something you can do even if there is no official support. It isn't like it's hard to edit an ini file or there's the flawless widescreen option mentioned before. That's the beauty of PC gaming. There is almost nothing you can't do to get the experience you are looking for.
I first go to:
https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Resident_Evil_7:_Biohazard#Video_settings
Then I go to:
http://www.wsgf.org/dr/resident-evil-7-biohazard/en
I have no doubt someone will figure it out and bring a fix, if need be.
When Resident Evil 7 released, they stated that ultrawide aspect ratio is not available in the game because of two reasons:
1. The game engine doesn't support it and/or it has problems handling it and all kinds of bugs can occur.
2. The tension of the game wouldn't be as strong if the players would be able to see more than it's originally intended.
However, I just completed the game roughly half a day ago and I can confidently say that both of these statements are pure ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
First of all, the whole game worked basically perfectly in ultrawide, despite the fact that I did not just use a wider screen than 16:9, but I also increased the FOV to 100 (I used two mods). There were only some very minor technical problems that were only present because the devs didn't give a flying f*ck about implementing proper 21:9 support (and these problems were so extremely minor that they literally could have been fixed with TEN MINUTES of coding).
Secondly, the game's atmosphere was just as strong when I played the base game and the demo in regular 16:9. The wider aspect ratio and FOV didn't have any negative effect on the tension. In fact, it just made the game more immersive and it also helped me to be able to navigate better and to be able to understand my environment better. So the wider aspect ratio had a positive impact on my perceiving of the game's world and on the gameplay as well.

My other example is Monster Hunter: World. This game was delayed for more than half-a-year specifically because the devs wanted to make sure that they will give us a proper PC version of that game. Yet, such extremely basic thing like arbitrary resolution/aspect ratio support haven't got implemented.
