Agreed, It may share the same name and story, but other than that it's a new game made from scratch. So It's reasonable. I'd rather pay full price for this than RE5 and 6, which I did

Yes i agree its a bit too high but hey its a remake not a remaster they've completly revamped the whole game and it looks so good , so i guess for the efforts capcom has put into the game the price is fair :-)

REmake sold more at $20 and they're requesting more than they could bargain for.

You can't expect cheap price since this is a remake/reimagine of RE2. Expect sale price by summer or fall 2019. Besides, it costs a lot of money to develop a new game, using an RE engine.

There’s still around 7 months until the game comes out. Just wait and pre-order it later. As is the case with most games nowadays, third party sites that will sell keys like GMG will likely put even the pre-order on sale at some point.
