"I beat the game with X mod" Who ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ care? Flexing your gaming muscles won't make Mr.X less annoying. Him being easy to deal with dosent make him less annoying either.
Mr.X is only here to force us out of puzzles and make it artificially more tedious. Instead of making him such a ♥♥♥♥♥ they should have given us a more extensive and deep scenario instead of making such dumb (And lazy) choices and still managing to cut a good part of what made the original great. Making both scenarios feel almost the exact same.
Stop deflecting back the argument toward "difficulty". Difficulty has nothing to do with this ♥♥♥♥. It is only annoying for the sake of being annoying. Again, AT LEAST, Nemesis added something to RE3 (Even if he was annoying too. But still.) Mr.X adds absolutely nothing but tedium for the sake of it.
Tbh, I would like to have Mr X on RE3 Nemesis just to have him teared apart by Nemesis when Nemesis start hunting me, this would complete the experience and definetly throw Mr X to the thrash bin he deserves.
Once you know how Mr X works, it becomes rare to have encounters with it and the encounters are usually meh (less when you get bad luck and the game decides to just throw him on your face by teleporting him on the other side right when you open a door).
I think Mr X doesn't teleport except for cutscenes, he just roams the station. If we get RE3R you'll get your wish granted but it won't be this Mr X, it'll be one of the other tyrants dropped in Racoon City, in fact, you can see a dead Tyrant in RE3. i guess X couldn't give it to him.
His fast walk is not as fast as the player run speed either, and for him to get "behind", some 5s or 10s after you stop, he would have to be following you around full time at his max speed, not considering when you left his sight.
I made experience on the main hall, he stop his power walk (or fast walk) when I go down stairs and make a turn, all I need to have is some 10m distance and doing a turn or two ahead of him, not even considering the fact that I can see Mr X and obviously he should be able to see me, but from time to time he gets lost from me on the main hall, what confirm he kind of stop after 1 or 2 turns on corridors or entering doors.
Through the doors he enter, sometimes he even enter fast, get back to slow walk again then lock on you and restart the power walk again, what also confirmed to me that he do the power walk when he lock on the player.
Another example is . . . when he chases you to safe rooms and he just dont enter, just wait by the door playing peek-a-boo.
He leaves the location after a time and you can hear it, but sometimes he just vanishes, nowhere near there
That is a time I dont play the game, dont know if they patched and changed his behavior from some months ago.
Right after 4.
So you are saying that 5 is better than 4? That's nuts.
He doesn’t ruin the game, he adds to it. This game is “survival horror “ not the run and gun of RE4 and beyond
I loved RE5 due to Co-op being added. RE4 was a huge revitalization to the series. RE6 was okay with Co-op, boring solo.
RE4 still a Resident Evil, with the nonsensical addition of a lot of random zombies and QTEs, but RE5 is down the pit and RE6 dug down the rock-botton of the pit
L4D and L4D2 are much better than RE5 and RE6 and much more fun to replay too.
