Anyway, I have a Windows MR headset and would be interested in VR support.
Are they? There are quite a few people outside which prefer a high quality (possibly 4K) gaming experience without the hassle of VR headset drivers and having to wear such glasses and possibly becoming motion sick. And VR costs framerate, without doubt.
I started playing "The Talos Principle" in both "flat" and VR version. This game involves walking a lot and after a while I chose to continue only with the flat version. And my decision was despite the fact that the VR version of "The Talos Principle" is well engienered and contains lots of customization of movement/rotation options. But none of the rotation options was anything as intuitive as in the 2D game - all made me dizzy, sooner or later.
Diving and flying are different though. Sudden changes in direction are less typical and so VR is imho well suited to this if implemented well. Still I prefer to have the choice.
That title could be the one! Well, Subnautica did already a fantastic job, but wasn't completed to the end. Sadly. With a mod it is playable, but not polished.
If you decide to integrate VR, do it correctly, else it would leave a bad taste and maybe do injustice to your game. But if you do, you could be the first one who stills the hunger in such scenario for many VR fans.
