Those who want to play MP should do so. I do not want it :-)
It's some experiences that were meant to be played alone.
The thing is, this is not an exploration game, it is very much a linear story driven game, very much like a "walking simulator", it is designed more as an experience than it is a game (i would even say it's more of an ocean awareness/educational tool than a game).
After you finish the (short) story there is really nothing to do other than just swim around in (very) small instanced areas and as such multiplayer would really add nothing to it.
Now if this would have been a big open world exploration type of game with tons of stuff to do, i would agree with you and say, yes multiplayer would have been cool, but this game is just too short and there is too little to do to be fun as a multiplayer game, i am sure you would get bored pretty quick :)
