What I'm seeing looks pretty as hell, but, it doesn't really tell me anything.
Do we have a research lab we're using? Are there vehicles? Do we need to gather materials or anything? Or is this basically just swimming around looking at the cool nature stuff?
Also my base had a crap ton of solar panels so I could have powered the whole damn planet. lol
As a player who really liked the diving game ABZU for its exuberant, colorful underwater sceneries and the rather peaceful approach it takes I would hope for the following:
* Possibilities to admire a photorealistic underwater world without being under constant time pressure
* Realistic animal behaviour and ideally whales and dolphins which show some type of personality, for example in a way that they behave curiously, friendly, anxiously or aggressively towards divers depending on how you approach them and based on how you behaved towards them in previous encounters. Different individuals (and males/females/families) may have slightly different behaviour just as in reality.
* More focus on decisions and strategy than on super-precise controlling.
* Alternative approaches for solving tasks/puzzles (such as opening a blocked route vs. finding a second entrance/exit further away)
* An "Open world" approach which does not require you to dive one fixed route in every level.
This playthrough that we did with IGN at Gamescom earlier this year should help paint a clearer picture for what you can expect with our game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wacB3SEK5xE
We'll be at PAX South next month with a playable demo in case any of you are there and interested in giving it a try!
But what you devs are doing sounds cool. The world really doesn't have enough sea exploration games. I've already wish listed it.
Anything to satisfy my Everblue 2 cravings since the cat (edit: went to the bath room? is that more appropriate?) on the PS2 ruining it and that was the only way I could play it.
We have scanning!

That answers a lot of questions. Thank you!
