Patch Notes

Today we set our fifth patch live. This game has A LOT of moving parts and writing for our tiny team. I appreciate all your support and patience as I in particular working to un-bury myself in sand.

In this patch, which we are calling the Copybot Patch, we focused heavily on some key issues reported by players and scores of polish. There are still some known issues to be patched in (we are working on them as you read this probably). The known issues will be listed below the bug fixes.

Patch 5 Highlights
- Fixes a scripting issue that was making it impossible to unlock the Gearheaded Gourmand achievement/trophy. To unlock it, you must: eat the cat treats at the cat show; drink Nitro-chug at the robo fights; eat glowing veggies or mushrooms at the dirt fair; and drink both oil and coffee from a machine on the Scanner. If you have done all of these in a single playthrough, drink coffee on the Scanner to unlock.
- Fixes a separate issue that made it so the coffee in the shuttle bay did not count towards Gearheaded Gourmand.
- Fixes issue where players cannot get battery for Yar if they first speak to X in Cycle 9.
- Adds a vending machine sprite to the robo swapper UI.
- Fixes logic on a few conversations that had infinite loops if players went down certain lines of questioning.
- Fixes submit button issue in character creator that was resetting the input while holding down the button rather than registering it.
- Fixes audio issue for naming ceremony discovery mode where the scan ping was pointing to an area without any content.
- Reimplements scrolling to not be event driven to fix scrolling on PS5.
- Updates issue with bunks interaction playing on wrong cycles.
- Fixes some minor scripting issues in the garden.
- Fixes text speed in ambient descriptions not obeying the speed set in options.
- Fixes a weird crevice appearing on the edge of some wider conversation buttons.
- Adds community QR code to main menu.
- Displays multiple glyph options for keyboard controls.
- Improves the fidelity of some character sprites.
- Adds deadzones to sticks in UI.
- Changes some actions from buttons to be values.
- Corrects numerous typos.

Known Issues
Build-a-Story: The thoroughness score displayed in the build-a-story screen is the default asset and does not reflect the actual number of interactions required for complete thoroughness for a given story. This will be patched as soon as possible. Note that the thoroughness score on the Story Score screen is accurate.
Story Score: There is currently an issue with Reputation and Readership levels. Instead of bottoming out and stopping when full, full reputation will display as no reputation and no reputation will appear as full reputation. This was leading to numerous ending unlock issues reported by players who were seeing endings that did not reflect their story scores. This issue is also present on the pause menu.
Pause Menu: The pie chart displaying the ratio of sensational stories to informational and alien interest swaps the values for informational and alien interest, displaying the inverse of the actual stats for these two categories.
Typos, typos, typos: We continue to polish the dialogue and edit writing for consistency, clarity, and quality. We will not be removing or changing the substance of the content, though new paths may be added in some cases.
