I"m stuck right away in the mansion

I started this game. I entered the mansion. I went upstairs. There's a room I can save in on the left side. I've gone in every room. I've fiddled with everything I think I can fiddle with. I don't know what to do. Where do I go? I don't care if you give me a hint, or just tell me. I am not playing this for the puzzles I'm playing it for the atmosphere and art style anyway. So just tell me, please.
