A Few Newbie Questions

Hello. I'm new to the game.

How do you win fights in the arena? Someone had this same question & tried the suggestions, but to no avail. I still always lose.

I've tried rushing in, not blocking, & hitting him when he's dazed. But I inevitably get hit & lose. I tried only blocking a little, and I still lose. I tried starting the fight with full nutrition, and I still lose.

Would taking amphetamines before the fight help? How exactly do you win? I want the money from winning.

Also, how do you find Svetlana a job at a local store? Do I have to go to a specific store? I went to Jacob's store, the furniture store, the sushi place, and never saw any options about jobs. Thanks for your help.

Go to the Medical Clinic and buy steroids. That made winning fights much easier. Also, I found that swinging punches wildly from a really great distance helped me to win. Your reach is further than you think!

Regarding Svetlana's quests, I think job notices are posted OUTSIDE of those stores. You will see a white poster on the outside wall that you can pick up. Not sure if this was changed in the last update though.

Hold block and wait until they swing, then you spam 1-2 hits, then wait for a counter again. Rinse and repeat. After they hit 3-4 times they will go on a barrage that do 3 hits in a row. So just keep holding block until they stop.

I always win, but never get paid. Is this game a joke? Is there any way to make money to get into the bar without wasting an hour?

@Theintergalacticcoverlord: I experienced that too and realized that when you actually lose you don't get notified even though it looks like you won. When you do win, you do get paid, but you can't actually tell at all from the graphics if you win or lose unless the money screen comes up. It really does need some improvement to fix that issue...
