Error:0x887A0006 - 'HUNG'
Purchased this game now crashes only after 2 nights of play. I really like this game, and would like to get back on ASAP!

Any else have the following error:

The UE4-drones Game has crashed and will close.
Fatal Error: [File Unknown] [Line:200}
Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost. [Error: 0x887A0006 - 'HUNG')

Please help, if I uninstall it and reinstall do I still keep all my levelups etc?

Thanks

OK new video drivers for Nvidia 431.60 -- seems to be working now!

That is indeed a problem with the graphic card. I'm glad that you sorted it out with the new drivers.

Thanks Alex, and then the very next day had to install the just released driver as it kept playing up again. No big deal. Looking forward to see great things with this game!

Great -- now there seems to be another issue. Game loads faster than before but does not respond before a match :(

Might of found a fix! reduce factory GPU core speed by 100Mhz and its working fine so far.. fingers x.. I'm running a AORUS 1080 Ti

I think this is related to heat on your GPU. The game is still not entirely optimized, it is en early access and it does tend to use 90% of GPU so that could be producing more heat than usual and if the GPU is overclocked it could create problems. Nevertheless this is standard Unreal Engine 4 so if the GPU is stable it should not be hanging.

Yes I suspect its GPU related and DSF is still not optimised and early access like you said, but my AORUS is stock from factory not overclocked. Might try and wind it back to -50Mhz and test to see how stable it is at that rate.

I can suggest running GPU performance tests like 3DMark for 30 minutes?. That could give you an idea if something is wrong. If you like you can also use a limiter. I advice using NVIDIA Inspector, go to the NVIDIAProfileInspector.exe and then under Sync and Refresh please chose the refresh rate of your monitor under "Frame Limiter". That will limit the GPU to render only the amount of frames your monitor can output, which will limit in itself the amount of heat generated because excess framerate is not going to be rendered.

Thanks Alex. sounds good. had stable gaming running with -50Mhz on the GPU core.
Mind you other games, PUBG, Quake Champions, Overwatch, BF1 etc no issues with stock settings and or a bit of overclocking.
Yes can give your suggestion a try down the track. Thanks again.
