Game does not load

Hi all. I have tried the stock version of the game on steam and every beta version. When I click play in steam, it attempts to load and then stops. No black loading screen or anything. Not sure what is going on. CPU is i7 9600k, 64 MG RAM, 4070 TI Super, Windows 11

Sorry to see you are having loading issues.

You can try to follow the procedures under "My game crashes when I try to launch the game from Steam":

This involved deleting the ReEntry folder in the games appdata folder, the link above covers this.

I'm having the same problem. Game simply does not load. In Steam it shows "Running" then "Cloud updated", then it stops. I've tried the proposed solution in the FAQ, but it still does not load. I'm a new buyer, found this game to be interesting, since I'm a afficionado about the Space Race programs, I would really like to try it and not ask for a refund.

It would be great if you could share the logs with me. They can be sent to petriw(at)gmail(dot)com - I can then analyze what happens during startup, especially if the procedures in the FAQ doesn't help.

I have similar issues after every update. I suspect it is something to do with the procedures updating.
The way I solve it is to run the game. Wait for it to hang for 5 minutes at launch, then alt tab and stop the game via the steam page.
Then restart the game and it runs fine.

Sorry I need to clarify that a bit. When I said procedures I meant the checklists. When they update the game hangs.

It would be great if you could provide me with the log after this issue happens, and send it to [e-mail] - maybe I can figure out why this happen. The update logic copies files from the Steam installation dir to the active checklist dir in AppData, so maybe some permission things? However, it sounds like it manages to do the actual copy. Very strange.

Do not worry about it. I found a workaround and the issue is most likely on my end rather than yours.

I have had the same loading issue. When I push "Start" I pull up the Task Manager. Just pull it up. Then the game is fine. Love the game/sim.
