I think Sozuy would be quite challenging to control, since all instruments, switches, controls etc. would be in Russian. But it would be awesome to try.

Yeah, but that would be fun to try. When I play the Mig in DCS, all panels are in Russian. It took a bit of extra time to learn, but once learned, it's easy as you know the function of each switch. However, after not playing it for a while, it sure takes time to refresh the memory! :D

Seeing this also made me ask which version. The soyuz has been around for almost 50 years it has changed since it was first introduced and each version has been manned, unlike the apollo versions.

Yes, I play Ka-50 Shark on DCS and there (as far as I can remember) you have an option in the game settings to have the labels/buttons/switches in Russian or everything in English. If you are a purist, then of course you would choose Russian.....

When having the Russian spacecraft in Reentry such an option would also make sense so one can understand what the buttons actually do (while learning the spacecraft), because many people don't know the Russian word for "Squibs" or "OAMS" (for example).....

And it would also be good to keep ground control speaking Russian (with optional English subtitles) to keep people in the correct mood and aware of the fact that they are flying a Russian spacecraft..

but first I am dying to try out that lunar lander ! Can't wait for that to appear. There is plenty to look out for with the 3 spacecraft as they are in this game.

Glad to see the news, 1 minutes after posting my message, that the lunar lander finally becomes available by tomorrow (if all goes well ;) ). Impressive work! Just going through the manual now....

Will we get to see lunar rover as well at some point? :) That would really be the icing on the cake...

Yes, both the Rover and the Lunar Landing Research Vehicle (LLRV) might make it to the game :)
