apollo 13
We all know what happened to apollo 13 in real life. And we know this sim will have damage and failures. But here is my question. In a situation where,like apollo 13, you start to get rising carbon dioxide levels, how will this game account for crafting , from items they had onboard, putting a square peg in a round hole problem (scrubber filter changeout when they had to build and retro-fit the square filters to fit into a round port)

The Apollo 13 puzzle? yes I have thought about that too, all those mission phases (which are different from mission to mission) could be implemented once functionality works 100%. Thanks for playing our Sim

Yeah, it sounds like a cool thing to have, and is important for the Apollo 13 mission. How it might be implemented is another thing. Not sure how I wish to approach this, but either by also having the cabins where items are stored implemented, and you need to located things, or make it a smaller thing, but still make you feel like you did it in one way or another.

Open for suggestions! :)

well the easy way would be "it magically built and attached itself". The hard way would be a IVA (inter-vehicular activity (in zero-g)) and a basic crafting system. I cant imagine doing all the work on a crafting system just for a filter so it would have to be used for other things as well. The IVA wouyld be used to transition to and from for example the CM to LM. Its not going to be easy especially with the zero gravity thing. EDIT: so internal view is already a IVA. The change happens when you unbuckle from the seat. As soon as that happens it goes into a zero-g mode. How you would do character animations for that is not going to be easy. Then you have to be able to interact with objects in order to do a task such as "get flight manual(goes into character inventory),get duct tape,get plastic bag,grab cartridge,assemble filter(items disappear out of inventory leaving only the filter) Attach filter
