Of these 4, Blueblood is the only one I can see being plausible.

Godmother and Terminal, considering what they endured over the last 25 years, are such paragons of virtue I can only imagine that the writers behind them have never lost anyone near and dear to them to genuine malevolence.

And Verge, a sectoid who suffers from an empathy feedback? Really? Why wouldn't such a thing have been corrected immediately by an ADVENT medical team? Or, if it couldn't be corrected, why not simply kill him and replace him with a sectoid that wasn't flawed? ADVENT clearly had no respect for the sanctity of any one life except those of the Elders and the Chosen; replacing a flawed sectoid would have been an easy choice, and not a single tear would have been shed for him.

I couldn't agree more. A generational cop in a SWAT team Ok. But a Septoid with human issues? First the ADVENT quality control for twenty years, then past for a Nuremgber trial style clean of charges and finally be willing to joing the police in five yeras. Is he still mind controling somebody in a high place?

The other two might be meh. The german women were hauling rubbel after WW2 after all, but yes two paragons of virtue too good for a realistic setting.

I usually like a good comic artstyle, nut the character desings used here are just blunt, generic and lacking any interesting details. In-engine renders would have looked better ;-(

Never the less I am looking forward to the game and hope, that all the negative Nanacies, that are seeing SJW conspiricies around every cornor, will be wrong. I really hope ...

Will we be forced to play certain characters like those shown above?
Or will we be able to recruit new troopers? Or at least reskin and respec the original chars to meet our own needs?

I really hope Fixaris expand their bios in-game, cause this one just LAME. Especially the one of sectoid's.

I think the comic intro is reminisce of the intro of the first Gallop game, I remember been scared of it when I was a kid
But considering the rendering potencial engine, they may be make a better job.

I will whait to see the final product, after preordering the XCOM2 season past I'm more cautous about the franchise.

YOU ARE NOT AGAISN'T HUMANITY. Did you even watch the trailers, at least 90% of the time (which could end up being 100% of the time) you are shooting aliens which also include Advent remnants (or their successors).

Everyone is a paragon of virtue... Very unrealistic and also very boring. I really hope there's much more in terms of character flaws, twists, and surprises going in, otherwise the story's gonna ♥♥♥♥. I'm still looking forward, though, I just hope my pessimistic interpretation isn't too accurate.

I see a great idea for zero day patch (or a decent mod) - throw premade folk outta window and let randomize/customize your own team
