Sorry, but really, that's been a staple of the series going back a while now. It's disgusting, and it makes for some of the most memorable gaming moments of my entire life.

Not in this XCOM where bullets aren't tracted. Maybe in Xenonauts or UFO: Extraterestrials (in that game my soldier left the shuttle and a bullet wizzed past tehm. Log read: Unknown target shoots unknown target. Alien out of LOS missed with overwatch and shot and killed alien outside LOS).
I actually remember several instances in which aliens shot their comrades. Even after 30 years.
Seriously, I virtually never hit shots from about 75% and below, when I should be hitting them, well, 3/4 times. One mission I payed close attention just to make sure it wasn't confirmation bias and that I wasn't just ignoring the hits and noticing the misses, and I literally hit none that were anywhere close to 70%. It's really turned me off of this game (along with some other stuff). I doubt I'll finish it.
