By the way, waiting will not work: you can't wait forever, after a few turns, missions dry and you have to take on the purple mission.
Remember you can't postpone indefinitely. The faction mission will become critical after two days of postponing.
Can't confirm that, mainly because I've never done that poorly, but I wouldn't sweat it. I don't even think there are events that raise unrest past that point. At least I don't remember any.
After you beat the 'final' faction, I believe there are 3 missions after that which are all critical immediately, so you can't do a lot at that point.
If you want to drag out a campaign, you must do so from the start by ignoring purple missions and waiting until the campaign missions become critical. It's the only way.
