Replayability is little to none, the maps are not randomized like Xcom 2.
Optimization is similar to Xcom2, but a lot of people are having issues and bugs similar to Xcom 2 when released.
Get it.
Game won't replace X2 by any stretch, but it is a fun change of pace and, for me, totally worth it.
However:
Until a major(MAJOR) patch comes out fixing or providing a bandage workaround for the game breaking bugs that are plagueing the game right now, you might want to wait and pay the 20US next month.
Worse is that mods are gonna crank my time on this so high.
Take xcom 2 loads time, forget about it and just tell yourself, not even a single minute. That's how fast it is. Despite this being in the same engine, the performance are so different.
As in replayability, there's still theses higher difficulties, a bit more agents than you can have in a single campaign are available, so you're kinda leaned toward replaying to have a go with them.
Reading from others, the speech in missions change depending the order you take the enemy gangs in.
anything that can give a positive before the 1st from 2k and firaxis end will be something to take into account. At this moment i can't really see any reason to get at it. I'm still on the fence.
It just works
I don't think there is any. Missions are quite similar with key missions being somewhat different yet have teethgrinding experience.
>And how's the optimization? Does it run better than XCOM 2?
When XCom 2 was released I was able to run it on a PC that I've build in 2008 (videocard was upgraded in 2013 though). However that PC has been retired since then so I am not 100% sure. However, bugs is a different story: the only issues I've ran in previous XComs (EU bought not on day one, EW day one, 2 preorder, WoC day one) were cosmetic. This one however: freezing in the middle of the game (at least it autosaves on every action), mission critical devices not appearing, zombies casted outside of the map, target preview occasionally is getting messed up, etc.
In addition to that the game has a very poor art style. For example your muton or viper squadmates look worse than in XCom 2.
Writing (both story and dialog) looks like they were inspired by famous quote by Carmack. Basically it is there but even worse quality than the one that was in txt file in original Doom (from 1993)
Overall I have a feeling that the game is more for a phone than a PC.
