multiplayer game mode

i can only create a standard mode multiplayer game. do i have to unlock something to be able to create championship mode?

Only seem to be able to select Standard/showdown/triple crown. I don't see a way to change the single event type.

Multiplayer really needs work. It's super annoying to only have a random quick join...
I want to be able to join sessions that I know ahead of time are a specific class bike with locked advanced physics.. instead I have to cross my fingers or create my own and wait around....

locked First Person would be fantastic to but on the other hand would only be a slim number of people playing like that.

Edit: Also be nice if I could do time trail / free-roam while waiting around for someone to join
+ They still don't have a chat box in the lobby...
