The best Supercross Game ever.
I began gaming as a kid and remember playing every Supercross and Motocross Game from 85 on even ones with 4 wheelers which are not really motocross or Sx but that is another topic. This is the best. Finally they made a 250 actually feel like a 250. Weak underpowered and struggling to make a long jump. That is about what they feel like IRL so finally a realistic 250. The 450 has all the power but you have to control that wheel spin. Pretty accurate depending on your setup and bike that is about what you do irl especially if you ever rode a Yamaha as of late. Graphics are amazing. There are issues though. The 30 second girls look like crackheads from Oregon. Yeah Oregon, deal with the truth! Hitting any tough blocks means insta crash which I suppose is somewhat realistic but some of the crashes and causes of them are cheesy. Rain is miserable. I have yet to ride a Florida race in the sun, sunshine state is questionable in this game. If you play with your shock settings they actually do something this time around and inherently effect your turning radius but be careful. Too much and you got a twitchy Honda (because they turn like crap.) Other than riding my real KX450F this is as fun as a game gets for SX. They have nailed it and the AI is pretty fun to battle with, (If not turn it up and turn up the realism and wait 10 seconds at every start.) There you go. I give it an 8/10. There is room for improvement but it does nearly everything very well. It makes my 1080 Ti watercooled I7 run extremely hot. So if you have cooling issues this game will bake your cookie, just sayin. Maybe after more optimization it will get better but the first game ran a bit hot for the first few months it came out as well. Keep an eye on your temps and you should do just fine, if you cannot run it your computer sucks and you need an upgrade. Don't kid yourself. You cannot Jump a triple with a KTM 50 and you cannot run beast games of this era with a Trs-80. So stop whining and upgrade or get a switch. Switches are for kids.

I'm not sure yet if I like this one the most, but I'm happy I saw some nice improvements already compared to the first one (the loading times for example!)
Do you have the fps uncapped? I don't think it was any different for me thermal wise than other games

MXGP Pro and Monster energy 2 are by far my 2 most favorite moto x games so far. Milestone did a knockout job on this title though.

Yeah I uncapped it. For some reason it is just running hot I will play with the settings to see what is causing it and update if I can figure out what is causing the heat up.

I would just cap the fps to the refresh rate and it should be fine.
My system is way less powerful (only a oced ryzen 5 and a 1060), but it's aircooled and I reach only 48C on the cpu and 56 on the gpu. I think this is not a game like csgo where you stil benefit from high fps even if it's higher than the refresh rate

Thanks It helped and also for some reason this rig hates motion blur and ambient Occlusion for some reason they make it run hotter. Its the I7 7700k these things ran way too hot but at least I was able to delid it and help. I have a brand new I5 sitting here I wonder if it would be worth the switch.

Id say it is the best sx game ever, since mxgp came out I got into playing 1st person view because the physics were too slow. This game is by far milestone's best so far and id say best sx ever. I tried the regular 3rd person view and it is better for sure but for nothing better than 1st person view . So far really happy they did good

lol no its not. The air physics are probably the worst of any motorcross game ever made

That's funny I think they're fantastic. You place too much stock in whips...Which even the whips are the best in any MileStone game so far, which isn't saying much but you can still throw your own style into them. The way the rider looks in the air though and the way he moves on the bike is the best yet.

Many people agree that Milstone does good ground physics, however, the air physics is debatable. But I really do love this game, especially the way they carried over some mxgpPRO features to this game. Now the bike feels heavier, and you can also feel when you have a high speed that it's difficult to stop and turn, so you have to plan ahead and not go too fast. If Milestone keeps this heavyness and feel or realism to future games the games will just become better.
I remember the days of the first MXGP game, it was a breath of fresh air. I came from the MX vs ATV series (which were great games, until after Reflex where things went downhill). I've watched Milestone craft a motocross game that felt more sim than arcade. Loved it! I remember i sucked at the first one, it took some getting used to. But before I knew it, all the difficulty settings were maxed out. Of course there was much to be desired, more free movement in the air, customization, and bike sounds (holy crap they weren't music to the ears haha). MXGP2 improved on every aspect, and then MXGP3 out did the previous. Especially with engine sounds and adding 2-strokes. I actually never got a chance to play the first Monster Supercross game. MXGPPro, in my opinion is amazing. Having a blast with it still. And now this game, beautiful sound and graphics. The immersion of the game is great, i forget the track I was on, but it was raining hard, my rider was covered in mud. The track was slick, tires spinning for traction. Absolutely amazing. Still can improve on some aspects, wish they added 2-strokes even though they aren't used in the AMA anymore. Its a video game, I don't think many will mind having them lol

But yeah, I have to agree. Pro and MESX2 are among the best!

Mxgp was indeed fresh air with the great cornering, but I also remember the game was kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in a lot aspects besides the cornering. The starts for example, the air obviously and many small things. I wasn't too sure about milestone back in the day, but now after playing all following releases to this date I have to say they improved their games with every title and milestone is one of the few studios where I'm looking forward to see the next release because I can expect to get a better game than the one before.

You're high... The turning on this game feels to heavy, and apparently the rear wheel sticks to the ground like a F1 tire on a track temp of 140+ The front pushes, and the berms seem to have little effect on these issues. I especially love the bike when it gets this magic floaty thing going on over a jump where if you are coming up short, you magically push forward just a little bit.
fux 11/fev./2019 às 20:41
Cornering is easy with a upgraded rider and bike and it's pretty easy to overjump stuff. Maybe you are high and can't handle the game?
