Support did contact me, suggested this:
First, please verify the integrity of your game cache:
Go to [Library] in Steam.
Locate the game in your library, then right-click it and select [Properties].
Click the [Local Files] tab.
From here, select [Verify Integrity of Game Files].
If you're still unable to access the DLC, let's try to update your game via the steps below.
Browse to the game files on your hard drive (Steam\steamApps\Common\The Lego Movie Videogame 2)
Open up the _CommonRedist folder
Open the DirectX folder\Jun2010
Run setup.exe, then do the same for the _CommonRedist\vcredist folder (run x86.exe on 32 bit sytems, and x64.exe on 64 bit systems)
I could do the first (did it before emailing) but the second was a no-go as that folder didnt exist. My advice would be to finish the game first and then see if the DLC is functioning.
