Why is crossplay only between ps5 and ps4?
I want to play with the console gang too

These are hilariously unreasonable demands for most dev teams and they're the only console team that has anything like this. That's why you aren't seeing any PC/PS crossplay.

ps5 and ps4 isnt even crossplay, they play on the same platform technically.

Its just additional cost between multiple parties and most of the time its not worth.

Also even more people would probably complain about cheaters/modders ruining their multi experience.

Because Sony charges exorbitant prices if you want to have crossplay with a Sony console and the developers expected this game to fail.

Did they though? 8 years in the making only to expect it to fail even after the whole Platinum Games debacle?

Since GBFR succeeded wildly, is there a chance we get crossplay with PS in the future?

Maybe if they made a sequel. I think it is unlikely for this game. This isn't a live service game; it is only getting some post launch content, but it has a definite lifespan in terms of ongoing development.

It isn't cost effective to add in crossplay after the fact. So from a business standpoint, they don't have too much incentive. Plus matchmaking is kind of bugged on PC as it is affected by your download region.

So if anything, the cost of crossplay would likely have to be mitigated by the profits a new game would bring.

they literally released a roadmap and said "we want to do more but we are not sure if we can actually justify spending more on the game. we will have to see how it does if we are gonna do more"

your logic is also flawed. its BECAUSE it took 8 years that they expected it to fail. initial hype waned, and the game needed to sell extremely well to make a profit due to 8 years of continously bleeding money.

As I stated in the other thread:

I can assure you that your experience would not be ruined and that you would almost never if ever run into a cheater or modder if there was crossplay. People exaggerate the rampancy of online cheaters by many magnitudes.

Didn’t their other new game that just got released have crossplay? This game seems more like the devs just don’t add it in for whatever reason. Game doesn’t even have anticheat. Lol

Maybe when it comes to XboX there will be XboX+PC crossplay.

Sony sucks. Stop buying their junk and we won't have to deal with them.

If this is true, then Jesus Christ it seems like they're intentionally making it as difficult as possible. What a joke.
