Hows the co-op gameplay?
I've never played any games from this franchise but I'm really curious about this one purely based on the co-op element is it similar to mh? Or am I just playing random fights In matchmaking?

- 2% "Ready Status has been reset"
- 3% me losing patience and leaving, after the above had been going on for 30+ minutes
Note: Matchmaking is region locked. So playing online outside of peak hours may take a long time to actually get something done. (I spend 2hrs in matchmaking the other day and got nowhere. Ended up cooking and cleaning while waiting.)

The Chapters of the Story are solo/offline only.
Until Maniac it is fairly easy to progress in solo/offline mode with just your AI party.
Maniac and Proud difficulty are possible solo/offline, but will require a lot more time investment to power up your team.

Edit:
The actual gameplay in co-op however is quite fluent. Network Errors only happened about once every 50 runs for me.

Matchmaking, the main story has no multiplayer (IE: The game is a grasp at mediocrity, much in common with other bad games of a similar type)

I'm not really sure what you're asking, but the co-op gameplay mostly functions the same. There doesn't seem to be any co-op scaling. Alone you can beat a boss within 3-10mins, but with a group you can beat monsters in 1-2mins or less than a minute if they don't have any time stalling attack patterns.

Matchmaking and joining up with players is way more unorganized.

I've had plenty of fun with only minor issues from multiplayer. I highly recommend you give it a shot. (and ignore Schnarchnase's response)
