People like me are obviously in the minority when it comes to anime games, but there is a small audience and sometimes we get thought of.
And before someone says something, I'm not complaining. I generally don't care if most of the games are waifu sims. I still play the games if I like them. It's just nice to have decent male characters sometimes. I'm aware what space I'm in and who the target audience is.

So they censored the original character designs, and excluded characters like Metera (who was in earlier builds of Relink) because they were far too "sexualized" for a western audience of men who want women to be covered with multiple layers of clothing.
What you said is not even remotely related to this topic but either way, I'll take Song over Metera any day when she's already in Versus. Her getting cut for Song is a huge win.
