Big brain here comparing a rpg/story based game to a pvp game. You so smart you lowered the average IQ of whatever God forsaken country you come from.

Since when were fighting games live service...?
I hate the live service concept too, but don't lie to get a point across lol. Once Versus is dead, there's discord and parsec/remote play/moonlight.

Cygames is the developer of Relink...

ArcSystem Works is the developer of GBVS...

Cygames =/= ArcSystem Works...

Those are two completely different companies/studios.

bruh, when did I say they are platinum game? ArcSystem Works are credited at at 15.01 of the end credit...just because Wikipedia didn't mention it, it doesn't mean they are not involved

Also Cygame OWNS the IP, not ArcSystem Works, so there is no reason for Cygames to put ArcSystem Works there if they are not involved.

LMAO, my guy can't admit they're just wrong.

The end-credits you're referring to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNAaut_6bhs&ab_channel=GamersPrey @ 15:01

Highlights a corporate header with no names underneath it.

That specifically means no one from "ARC SYSTEM WORKS CO., LTD." had any involvement whatsoever in this particular project. Notice how no one's name is even mentioned?

Your argument would've been valid if you had something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNAaut_6bhs&ab_channel=GamersPrey @ 12:42

Here it is factually correct to say that:

7 employees at "CREEK & RIVER CO., LTD."

Were involved in the project. I'm not going to write down each of their names, but you get the point.

Pro-tip: Empty Headers are used to prevent third party affiliates from boasting about their involvement in projects they, in truth, would have nothing to do with.

The more you know...

Right....and putting them there instead of not putting them at all....right....to prevent third party boasting about their involvement in projects have nothing to do with?..rights...sounds like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, source trust me bro?

Bro, if you look just below Arc System works you will see that the Grandblue Fantasy Team(Cygames) also did not have any names under them, lol or are you telling me they also being put under there because they did not have anything to do with the development lol? Its sounds more logical to think the credits might not list individual under them because large game development projects involve many contributors, including developers, designers, artists, and more, aka those names at the beginning with no headers are Arc System works+Cygames people lol

They didn't. It's very clear Arcsys did all the development for Versus, it's basically a TC of Xrd. Art would by Cygames' artist/s.
Also you want proof but won't show any proof Arcsys was involved with Relink. You can use search engines and look it up, Arcsys is only attached to Versus. What IS factual is Relink was going to be a Platinum developed game and the combat engine was pretty much complete before they split for whatever reason. The business side of that idk, but Cygames was allowed to continue using the work Platinum did (maybe contractual stipulations?) and finished the game themselves.
This is becoming apparent that you got Arcsys confused with Platinum but don't want to admit you made an oopsie...

Edit: Kyota's logic is sound imo as remember when Relink was released, Versus Rising was still fairly fresh out the oven. Given the above fact Cygames had to pick up the pieces after Platinum left, they wouldn't want people or Arcsys themselves associating the combat engine with Arcsys.

Edit 2: Ah found the specifics, looks like Platinum buried you:
"While we, PlatinumGames, have been working with Cygames in co-development of the upcoming console game Granblue Fantasy: Relink, we officially announce our contract on the project has come to an end. Development will still continue, but be handled solely by Cygames’ internal development team."
Plus what exactly would Arcsys offer? Their only notable entry into this type of game was Guilty Gear 2 and that was rooouuugh...

bro just because Wikipedia didn't mention it it dosent mean they did not work on it, they are credited that is a fact, Sega also help, they are credited, wikepidia did not mention them either, what is it to speculate when you can see with your own eye that they are credited the same way as cygames own team. You guys taking he says she says while there the proof at the credit.

Why Cygames allowed to continue using the work Platinum? bro are you for real? they OWN the ip, Platinum is just a contractor, Cygames own Granblue Fantasy IP.

Why Cygames allowed to continue using the work Platinum? bro are you for real? they OWN the ip, Platinum is just a contractor, Cygames own Granblue Fantasy IP.
Nobody's using wikipedia. I literally quoted Platinum Games and you're still going "nuh uh" like a baby, bro lol. Also no they're not credited in the same way. Cygames is on press material, they're on the box, they're on the splash art, and they're in the end credits obviously. You're part of the credits for how significant your contributions were. Let's grant you that Arc System Works is legitimately a contributor via end credits... that's all they're in. They're not in press material, not on the box for the console releases, and not on the opening splash screens, therefore if they DID contribute, it was very minimal.

Platinum Games on the other hand, coded the combat engine, at least up until they announced their contract ended with Cygames and peaced out. READ.

"Development will still continue, but be handled solely by Cygames’ internal development team."

Taken from TV Tropes:
"PlatinumGames had originally signed on to co-develop the game with Cygames in 2016, but they left the project entirely in February 2019, leaving Cygames to handle the rest of development (on a platform most of the developers now involved had little experience with), with a publicly-released statement mentioning that their contract for the game has ended; Platinum's branding and logo were also removed around this time, which was regarded as a surprising move. There was also an apparent shift in the game's plot around this time (gameplay footage from 2018 on showed Gran being playable, when him/the Captain overall being out of action was a core plot conceit of the original pitch, which in 2016/17 was going to focus a bit more on the then otherwise-neglected "main" crew). Cygames also moved its release date multiple times, and a 2019 interview had a director admitting the game's scope expanded significantly during development as Granblue overall continued to evolve."
"After it was announced that PlatinumGames' contract on the game has ended on February 2019, there was a looming worry on the state of Relink, with fans wondering if Cygames would start over from scratch. A Famitsu interview on March 2019 and statements from the producer confirmed that Cygames has inherited the leftover progress from the collaboration with Platinumn, and won't make any drastic changes from it on top of hiring more staff to catch up with the development's pace. Given how the game came out five years later, however, it's not entirely clear how much of the original Platinum work survives in the game as printed."

Something that IS interesting however is two VAs that were contracted by Arcsys for Versus and Versus Rising had roles in Relink, that being Sean Chiplock as Rolan and Laura Post as Historiah. That could be a reason as despite being contracted by Arcsys, they most likely loaned them out to Cygames, which isn't unusual. Once again though I ask you, where exactly is Arcsys' fingerprint? This type of game isn't their forte at all, they tried and fumbled and hadn't tried again since Guilty Gear 2.

"Why Cygames allowed to continue using the work Platinum? bro are you for real? they OWN the ip, Platinum is just a contractor, Cygames own Granblue Fantasy IP."
Don't be stupid. I refuse to believe you think owning an IP grants you ownership of engine code...
Cygames and Platinum have a working relationship (NieR: Automata) so Platinum probably allowed Cygames to use their finished engine without any silliness.

Also Sega is credited because they published the game in Asia, try again.

You confused Arcsys with Platinum, it's fine to admit you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, lol.

Where did I put a he said, she said. I quoted the company lmao.
The fluidity of the combat? Because Platinum didn't already do that and hey there's the evidence they made the combat engine base. Oh but wait, I knew you'd double down, so I came prepared, because I actually read, unlike you.

Let's bury you again, look at the end credits video you posted, go to 1:18, and don't run. This is the part that credits people for the combat. Look at the lead combat engineers. Those are Cygames guys, and no one else on that team is from Arcsys, so stop lying.

Why did you bring in Square Enix when I brought up NieR Automata to show Cygames and Platinum have a WORKING relationship, meaning they're familiar with each other and have worked together in the past. You bringing up SE has NOTHING to do with Platinum having ownership of the engine code they made for Relink UNLESS either it was under contract they surrender ownership the code after it expires or because of their, read: WORKING RELATIONSHIP, they let Cygames keep the engine code to help them finish the game.

Also I love it, it took two seconds to refute your gotcha moment with Sega in the end credits and you dropped it from your whole argument, lol. Lmao even.

Edit: Before you talk out of your ass again, remember when I said look at 1:18? Those two combat design leads?

Here are their resumes. NOTHING Arcsys, but titles very relevant to Relink's combat. Give me a name and I'll continue to bury you with evidence.

Edit 2: Actually you know what? Why should I do your work for you?

Knock yourself out, find us anybody there from Arcsys. Anybody. We got time, this game's not getting updated anytime soon.
