Is it worth to buy this game?
Hey guys, so we know that game is pretty much dead (if we are talking about online mode), but would it still be worth it to buy it as a single player game? Is story good enough?

The story is short and fun to play through, but the plot is absolute F-tier. The actual worst story I've ever seen in any form of media.

The rest of the game is excellent, though. Fun characters, fun, fast, and flashy fights, excellent art and music, tons of progression. Of my 130 hours, more than 110 of it was in the post-game content. For that alone, it's definitely worth it.

The story is short (<20 hours), plot wise it was okay but I am a gacha player so I was already invested in the characters. Main thing is that it does its job as a vehicle to move you from fun setpiece to fun setpiece. Definitely not awful story wise like the Crossbell Trails games.

Its worth getting on sale. Combat and bosses are fun up to a the last couple post game missions that are DPS checks with timer. The story is there, its not the deep epic with character development but its aight.

Overall, Its a fun game to come back to every once in a while and fight a boss after you beat the story.

Game is dead but you can build your own party with bots. Yes, it's alot more work since you have to more or less build 4 man squad but it's doable. There is so much content after the story it's ridiculous. If you enjoyed Monster Hunter games you will for sure like this one since it's heavily inspired by the genre. The story is very mid to be honest, nothing special with alot of cliche moments.

There's a variety of characters to choose from, each had different play styles. Generally what was enjoyable about the game when I played. If I remember correctly Narmaya was my fav.

The game really begins at the end of the story. Endgame is excellent if you're ready to grind.

You have to treat it like a Monster Hunter game. I played Monster Hunter World for 700 hours, and I have no idea about the game's story.

Yes, it is. Matchmaking is local so only a small part of those 4k players is available in the first place. The pool of players gets even smaller considering that players in endgame usually don't queue for anything below maniac. And with the rest you'd have to queue for the same mission so yeah, matchmaking will take a while.
