The fighting and mobile games have a clear vision with adding characters and content.
This game also does, and they announced that they dont want to make it a live service and only 3 major updates
This is like saying that this game needs to have a 11.0 version because world of warcraft also does.

I would rather Cygames spend their resources on bringing in more GBF characters like Sara or Niyon rather than crossover gimmick stuff.

That they're gonna make this a live service? No.
Devs have stated that they have no intention on doing that regardless on how the game would've done.

They haven't stated they wouldn't either. They support their other games why would this be an exception especially with its success.

This. Imo, guest characters are a slap in the face when you have a ton of existing characters to draw from

Nier Automata is everywhere, it's even in the Versus Rising and it looks jarring and out of place. GBF has so many characters that they could add. Instead of 2B they should've added Nicolas.

They should keep the collabs in their Gacha
